The takeaway snacks that I love
for dinner, knowing of my keen fondness for vegetable pakoras, vegetable samosas and warm peshwari naan bread.
I do not completely dislike Chinese food but given the choice I would rather order some delicious prawn toast or spring rolls to munch on as opposed to a chicken chow mein or anything else that has noodles as its main ingredient. Nor can I abide the heat of Tai curries, yet the side order of battered tempura vegetable and soy sauce never fails to make my taste buds salivate in glee.
I’m not sure where my weird eating habit and love of finger foods stems from. Maybe as I get older my palette will alter and will be more welcoming of foreign foods. For the meantime however, I am happy that these little snacks exist since this means I can enjoy takeaways with the rest of my family even if what I am having doesn’t really constitute a meal.
