There are many risks that are involved in this type of surgery. The patients should be fully informed about the risks and misconceptions related to the surgery. The complications may include bleeding or blood clots or change in sensations of the breast. The surgeons are responsible for any type of complication but the patient body conditions are also responsible for the problems that occur afterwards. The most basic problem is capsular contracture in which the capsule tightens around the implant. This causes the soft breast skin to feel hardened. It has many treatments and sometimes it becomes inevitable to remove the scar tissue or removal of the implant. There is excessive bleeding in some cases. It may be followed by another operation to control the bleeding and accumulated blood. Sometimes there is a type of infection that is often seen in this type surgery. This infection is seen after the first week of the surgery. Sometimes this infection needs a new operation and sometimes it becomes normal by itself. This surgery has nothing to do with the fertility of the women or the pregnancy. You can normally feed your child in normal ways and produce milk. This may cause some discomfort but it can be treated by the expert surgeons afterwards. Sometimes the breast implants may break or leak. It can be the cause of any type of pressure on the breasts which cause them to leak. It can be cured by operating the implants again.
