Before starting any fix-up-for-sale chores, take on the frame of mind that you are fixing up your home in order to sell it. You must not think of it as fixing it up for someone else. You’re merely attempting to create more of an appealing look rather than the perfect house.

If you arrange the house with a certain person in mind, you’re restricting your market. Decreasing the size of your market will generally mean a a much slower sale, and a reduced sale price.
